"No way. Not Going To Get Sick" Tricks.

This past week I had 3 clients cancel due to being sick. It IS that time of year, so I thought I’d share some of my go-to “no way, not going to get sick” tricks.

*Remember, I’m not a doctor (although I wish I was) so consult with a medical professional before taking any new supplements or if you are feeling sick.

Included in my daily regiment of supplements, is a probiotic, #nonnegotiable. This keeps my gut in check, which as you know helps support your immune system (The majority of our immune cells reside in our GI tract). This is the one I take.

At the first sign of a headache, fatigue, stomach ache, or general feeling of being “off” I reach for a kombucha. My favorite brand and flavor seen here. This fermented tea is loaded with probiotics (see #1) #guthealthiseverything

Also in my bag of tricks, Wellness Formula. Wellness Formula is great as an everyday immune support or taken as needed when you’re feeling under the weather. From their website, “contains a powerful combination of herbs designed to help support your immune system. Echinacea and coptis promote well-being while Yin Chiao, a valued Chinese herbal complex, helps our bodies maintain a sense of balance.”

It tastes terrible, but just deal with it. Drop some in your mouth and chase it with water. All good.

“Garlic Tea” is my go to drink when I am feeling sick due to sinus stuff or chest/cough stuff. Drink it morning and night for at least 3 days.

Ingredients:

2 Cups water

8-10 Garlic Cloves (peeled but not crushed)

Lemon/Honey to taste

Directions: Boil for about 15 minutes. Should boil down to about 1 cup of water. Remove the garlic cloves, add a squeeze of lemon and some honey to sweeten. No, you won’t stink from the garlic. And the taste is not bad (cause remember you’re stuffed up), especially with the addition of the lemon and honey.

Stay hydrated. Wash those hands. And stay home in bed if you’re sick! Your workout can wait.
